Three local organisations were presented with Community Initiative Funding during Liverpool Plains Shire’s Australia Day celebrations.
Representatives from Quirindi Canter (Susie Proctor), Quirindi Rotary (Rob Lewis) and
Quirindi Poultry Club (Brian McNamara) were presented with Community Initiative
Funding grants and are pictured with LPSC Mayor, Councillor Andrew Hope.
Quirindi Canter were presented with $650 towards staging their annual event, Quirindi Rotary $300 towards staging their annual Joan Carpenter Music Awards (which support the local music community and encourage participation by local school children) and Quirindi Poultry Club $100 towards staging their long standing community event.
“Volunteers and their organisations play a valuable role in bringing diversity to the Shire and fashioning our social fabric. On behalf of the whole Liverpool Plains Shire community I sincerely thank all our volunteers for their contribution,” Councillor Hope concluded.
