Quirindi and Werris Creek libraries as well as the Liverpool Plains Recreation (REC) Centre have events scheduled during the school holidays and Council encourages parents to get their kids involved.
Both Quirindi and Werris Creek libraries will hold 3D Printing and Electronics Workshops for ages 11+.
The Quirindi workshop will be held on Monday April 10 commencing at 11am and running through until 2pm. The Werris Creek event will be held during the same hours but on Thursday 13 April.
If your kids are curious about how 3D Printing works send them along and they’ll learn how to create digital designs in online software that are ready to be printed into 3D physical objects. They’ll also be able to experiment with electronics including vibrating motors, LEDs, Makey Makey and more.
Places are limited at these events and interested persons should ring Quirindi library on 6746 2350 or Werris Creek library on 6768 7340 to secure a spot at the appropriate location.
The Liverpool Plains Recreation Centre is running a Kids Fit holiday program, comprising a variety of games and fitness exercises on Thursdays 13 and 20 April from 10:30am-12pm with all ages welcome and a healthy morning tea provided. The program will show kids how regular physical activity can be fun as well as an important part of getting and staying healthy.
Again, numbers are limited so parents are encouraged to book spots by calling in at the REC Centre, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or messaging to Liverpool Plains Recreation and Swim Centres Facebook page.
