Liverpool Plains Shire Council’s (LPSC) Quirindi Truck Wash is fully operational again with final repairs, required following vandalism of the controller unit, now completed.
An upgrade of the facility was undertaken during the repairs to provide an increased database of users nationwide via the AvData control system, plus improved reliability. Improved lighting for night time operation was also part of the upgrade.
Late last year, Council endorsed expenditure of $6,000 to undertake the repair and upgrade of the controller. LPSC are still waiting for advice as to whether an application for NSW Government funds towards the relocation and upgrade of the facility has been succesful.
Council thanks users who patiently waited for the repairs and upgrade works to be undertaken.
Users are cautioned to be aware of the building activities, part of the Emergency Services precinct construction taking place in the area, and to take extra care when entering or departing the site.
